You MUST report it. Call local SS branch, banks, whatever else it is they stole and report it. They’ll also tell you what you must do to protect yourself.
I also suggest signing up with one of those website to monitor your credit reports.

Make a police report about the stolen documents.
You need to contact the Social Security Administration right away and report it. Then contact the three credit reporting agencies to report it, and ask that they put a flag on your account to watch for unusual activity.
Contact the passport agency right away. Your passport will be canceled and you will need to apply for another one.

When you file your police report you should tell the officer to include that on the report, and ask them if you need to file a ID theft report. It happened to a friend of mine and it’s just hard to fix your credit once they stole your identity.

I would get a police report asap.The most important thing you need to do NOOOOOW is call all the 3 Credit reporting agencies and put a freeze on your credit.NOt an alert BUT a FREEZE on your credit.
This way no one will be able to open an account in your name .This is for 30 or 60 days.Keep on freezing your credit for a few times.till you can sort things out.Do not take this lightly.There are thousands of crooks who steal identity and it will make your life miserable.
